New Qadafi Stadium Capacity will be 34000 – Currently in October 2024 the Qadafi stadium at Lahore is under construction. PCB is working hard day in and day out to complete this international standard cricket stadium uptill December 2024. Now the underground work of the stadium has been completed and on ground work is under way.

Qadafi Stadium Cost/Investment

The total cost or investment in the construction of New Qadafi Stadium will be 7.5 billion rupees. It is a very high cost. But for the promotion of cost and to host the Champions Trophy 2025 Pakistan it is important to invest in cricket grounds. In addition, the expected date for the completion of Qadafi Stadium Lahore is 31st December 2024.

Similarly, for clear view the trees at different spots of Qadafi Stadium have been removed and better sitting plan is arranged to amaze the cricket spectators.

The old Qadafi Stadium Lahore had a capacity of 21000 individuals. But the new Qadafi Stadium will be capacity of 34000 individuals. Moreover, stadium is being constructed near to pitch so that the spectators can view the match and cricket players very closely.

ICC Delegation Visit to Pakistan

The visit of International Cricket Council (ICC) officials is expected at the end of October or in the first week of November to oversee the arrangement made by Pakistan to conduct Champions Trophy Mega Event in 2025.

Qadafi Statdium New Look after Re-construction

The new look of Qadafi Stadium after re-construction will be different from the previous one. First of all, modern drainage system has been constructed. Similarly, the traditional flood lights have been removed and state of the art LED lights have replaced them. Further, new modern technology big screens have also been installed to view various videos of running match.

Renovations of other Cricket Stadiums in Pakistan

Besides Qadafi Stadium Lahore, PCB has also been working on the renovation of other major cricket grounds in Pakistan. For instance, National Bank Stadium and Rawalpindi Stadium and also investing Rs. 3.5 billion and 1.5 billion respectively in both grounds.
