The ICC next Champions Trophy will start on the 19th of February 2025. The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 9, 2025. This is the initial draft that is provided by Pakistan Cricket Board.
The tournament will feature the top eight teams from the ICC ODI rankings, divided into two groups:
- Group A: Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh
- Group B: Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa
Due to security concerns, particularly India’s reluctance to play in Pakistan, a “hybrid model” has been proposed.
In this arrangement, matches involving India are expected to be held in Dubai, while other matches, including those featuring Pakistan, will take place in Pakistan.
The exact venues and match fixtures are yet to be officially confirmed by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
ICC Champions Trophy Next – We are moving towards the end of year 2024, and next champions trophy date is still unclear. Looking back to the history of Cricket of Champions Trophy, it is not clear that either the next tournament of champions trophy will be held or not.
But if the things remained same, the next champions trophy will be held in the year 2028. That champions trophy will be the cricket champions trophy 2028.
The tenure of champions trophy is 4 years. It is similar to ICC World Cup. The different between Champions Trophy and ICC World Cup is very little.
But, this mega event was held in the past in the year 2017. After this now in 2024 this mega cricket international event is going to held in year 2024 after almost 7 years.
